The Sports Hospitality Academy was established in 2016 and Diski Nine9 provides hospitality training and work experiences for the unemployed youth in Gauteng. The youth receive training focused on customer service, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork. In addition to the training, a group of the top performers is placed at major stadiums during big sporting and music events where they provide Project Management, Event Management, VIP Hosting, and Ushering Services.
The need to increase participation in school sports and allow learners to realize and nurture their talent in various sporting codes has been boosted by support from parents, school governing bodies, teachers, and the education department. This program was established to provide soccer and netball coaches with work employment opportunities to coach at private schools.
